Revit provides several tools for this, but two of the most overlooked are Matchlines and View References. Matchlines enable you to split a large plan into smaller, separate plans, all the while still maintaining a clearly delineated line separating them.

Managing those unwanted styles in Revit can be time consuming and risky but ignoring them can cause publishing errors and end-user confusion. Open an existing Revit building model and use the 3D Sketch button to launch FormIt. Model a few designs for a new addition, putting each design on a different FormIt Layer. Select the elements you want from your designs and send each design to Revit using the Send to Revit button. In Revit, you can explore these designs as separate design options.
